Learn About Impact Investing
Impact investing allows the Alabama Power Foundation to create lasting community benefit by providing low cost, mission driven capital to organizations doing charitable work. Through its Program Related Investment program, the Foundation supports nonprofits and purpose driven for profit entities with flexible financing that can be repaid and reinvested to fund future projects. Launched in 2019, this approach has enabled more than $5 million in investments across 24 projects using tools such as balloon loans, convertible notes, lines of credit, and loan guarantees.
Annual Reports
The Alabama Power Foundation annual reports are yearly summaries that highlight the Foundation’s work, partnerships, and impact across the state of Alabama. They showcase the Foundation's community support needs and improve quality of life through grantmaking, volunteer efforts, and initiatives. These reports include reflections from leadership, stories of funded projects, updates on programs and initiatives, and insights into how the Foundation’s work advanced its mission across communities.
