Partners in Positive Change

Every day, the Alabama Power Foundation creates opportunities by tailoring layered approaches to meet the unique needs of Alabama’s communities, from small rural towns to growing urban centers. Through volunteer support and grant funding, we invest in five focus areas: Health and Human Services, Environmental Stewardship, Arts and Cultural Enrichment, Educational Advancement, and Civic and Community Development. Let the impact of our past projects inspire what is possible next.

Driving Growth

We are the state's largest corporate foundation, funded entirely through resources independent of Alabama Power's customers. We seek out and assist nonprofit partners who spread the most good. We accomplish this by balancing volunteer support, organizational support, promotional support, and financial support.

Help with Higher Energy Usage

As Alabama experiences prolonged summer heat and higher temperatures drive increased energy use, Alabama Power is helping customers stay comfortable while connecting them with resources to better manage their energy costs. Even though Alabama Power’s rates are frozen, higher energy usage can still lead to higher bills.

To help customers to find available resources, Alabama Power created Energy Assistant, an online tool that helps connect customers with programs they may qualify for. By answering a few anonymous questions, users receive information about available programs and the organizations administering them.

Learn how Alabama Power’s Energy Assistant may be able to help.
