The Good Roots grant program will supply up to $1,000 per grant to purchase trees for planting in cities, towns, communities and nonprofit organizations across the state. The 2015 Good Roots application period will be open from Feb. 2 until April 3.

Alabama Power Foundation gave high schools across the state the opportunity to improve their athletic programs. The “Power To Play” grant program awarded 36 schools across Alabama $2,500 each.
