Since its founding in 1989, the Alabama Power Foundation
has given more than $150 million in grants across the state
Alabama Power Foundation’s effort to improve education in
Alabama by focusing on STEM and workforce development,
conservation education and early childhood education.
PROGRAMS FOUNDED FOR EDUCATION
Foundation grants have led to the creation of more than 90 education programs that impact the lives of thousands.
HOURS OF GOOD WORK
Alabama Power Company employees and retirees clock more than 55,000 volunteer hours annually to help bring good to Alabama.
HOUSEHOLDS DIDN'T GO DARK
Through the ABC Trust fund, energy bills for 100,000 households have been paid over the last 11 years.
In early 2016, the Alabama Power Foundation will award 20 conservation education grants through the Students to Stewards program. Grants will be awarded in two categories: outdoor classroom grants and classroom curriculum grants.
